A Simple System for Tracking Duplicates

Define a duplicate clearly

For a collection position, a duplicate means quantity greater than one for the same variant, condition and language. Two different finishes of the same card name are not automatically duplicates. This definition keeps your trade view from hiding a variant you still need.

Use two quantities

Total quantity tells you how many copies you own. Trade quantity tells you how many are available to another collector. Keep the trade quantity at or below total quantity; if you want to protect one binder copy, mark only the extras. Revisit the number after a trade or deck-building session instead of relying on memory.

Store context with the row

Condition and language affect who may want the card. A clean English holo and a damaged non-English regular copy should not share an unlabeled trade pile. In PalTCG Pro, private notes can capture location, preferred trade targets or a reminder to inspect the surface before listing the card elsewhere.
