Pick a definition of complete

Start with the base-card list if this is your first set. It gives you a clear finish line and keeps variants from multiplying the budget before you understand the product. Once the base list is complete, you can choose a smaller variant goal, such as one holo treatment per card or a language-specific archive.

Build a three-column plan

Mark each card as owned, wanted or tradeable. Add condition and quantity only when you have verified them. Review the list after each opening and move duplicates into a trade workflow instead of leaving them mixed with missing cards.

Stop at the right moment

More product is not always the fastest path to completion. When the remaining list is small, trades or individual purchases may be more efficient. Use the catalog to confirm the exact variant before you negotiate, and remember that a market estimate, when active, is context rather than a guaranteed price.
